the never-ending travel day

Some of you know that we traveled to our home where we will live after language school. On our journey home we were delayed for about 6 hours. We were already waiting three hours between flights so this put us in this airport for about 9 hours. Well when I (E) found out that our flight would not take off till 9 pm I suggested we cancel our tickets, reschedule for the following day, and spend the night in a hotel. We did this, the problem is... there was inclement weather in the area, and ALL hotels were full. By the time we checked high and low for a hotel - it was 8 pm, so we went back to the airport, and as we were walking in we heard them announce that our plane was boarding so we ran into the airport, I pleaded insanity basically with the ticket agent, they RE-issued our tickets, checked our luggage BACK in, and we ran to the gate... we thought we would be "those people". You know, those people who are late getting on the airplane because they might have been lally-gagging around the airport, but God was gracious and... we were not.
