Where I am From - pt 6

This post is mainly for those who live in the States, where there is a hot water heater that powers the whole house, and it is normally discreetly tucked away where no one will notice. And the house is wired in such a way that you do not see gas lines, electrical wires, cables, and etc running all over the inside and outside of the house.  Well, not here. And after you get past the thought that it looks messy, believe me, you are just grateful for the benefits that the mess brings!

The following picture doesn't look like much but it is a life-saver (okay, not really) in my life of convenience. This is a gas powered hot water heater.  This is connected to my kitchen sink, which is just through the window below.  This, my friend, is how we have hot water to wash our dishes.  We, also, have one outside our bathroom, so that we can hot water for bathing.  A nice addition, for sure. Like I said, not a life-saver, more of a convenience. :)

This dirty looking thing is our gas tank that we connect to our water heaters and to our kitchen stove and oven.  These things don't look like much but how much help they provide! In the larger cities, normally the company that sells these tanks ensures that they are nicely painted and look clean, etc etc... well not here. Once again, it's one of those things where you are just grateful for the benefits acquired from the mess!
